William Meeder, 74, of Warsaw, died Monday (May 19, 2008) at the Wyoming County Community Hospital.
He was born in Warsaw on April 19, 1934, a son of the late Hugh and Bernita Gay Meeder.
He worked on his own Dairy Farm until his retirement. He was a member of the Dale Baptist Church, Wyoming School Board Member, member of the Niagara Frontier Jersey Cattle Club, and a 4-H leader for many years.
After retiring from his farm, he restored old John Deere tractors and a 1974 Chrylser car. Surviving is his wife of over 54 years, Sally Alwardt Meeder. Three sons, James of Warsaw, Jeffrey (Suzanne) of Dale and Gregory (Sherrel) of Dale. Three brothers, Robert of Dale, Ronald (Nancy) of Little Valley and Wayne (Mary Jane) of Pike. Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7 - 9 PM and Wednesday from 2 – 4 PM and 7- 9 PM at Weeks Funeral Home, 123 North Main Street in Warsaw.
Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00 AM at Weeks Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Dale Cemetery.
