William Bly, age 82, of Cooley Road, Bliss passed away peacefully, at home, Monday, April 14, 2025 with his beloved wife by his side. Bill was born in Buffalo, a son of the late John and Dorothy Clemo Bly. After attending Tonawanda High School, Bill joined the United States Army Medical Corps, serving honorably as a Medical Technician in Germany and Camp Drum from 1962 to 1968 earning the rank of Sergeant. Bill was a member of the Bliss Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill was a strong willed guy and very firm in both his faith and convictions. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #264 in Tonawanda. He enjoyed spending time watching the "Bills" and time with his beloved beagle "Maxwell".

Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Bly, a sister, Bonnie Cerito, and his 3 adorable Pugs, Maggie, Lilly, and Greta.

Survivors include his loving wife 58 years and high school sweetheart, Marilyn J. Breidert Bly whom he married on April 15, 1967, a daughter, Pamela (Russell) Vesci of Niagara Falls, a brother, Michael Bly of North Tonawanda.

Friends of William Bly may call on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 11am to 1pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. An American Legion Service will follow the calling at 1pm and Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home.
