Wanda J. Andrews, age 80, of School Rd., passed away Thursday, March 23rd, 2017 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born in Pike, June 11th, 1936, daughter of the late Dewey and Mildred Flint Buckley. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1954 graduate of Letchworth High School, Wanda worked at the Letchworth School as a cook as well as being a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of the Pike Community Church. Wanda loved music, especially singing and the piano, and sang with "The Buckley Sisters". She was very artistic and was known to be a great baker. Wanda was very dedicated to her family and had a great sense of humor. "She used to be 6 foot 8 inches tall" and enjoyed making Witches Brew and Stone Soup with her grandchildren. Wanda was predeceased by 3 brothers, John, Alvin, and Donald Buckley and a sister, Mary Zeller. Survivors include her loving husband, Daniel Andrews of Gainesville; 2 daughters, Donna (Klaus) Doberstein of Lebanon, PA and Judy (Doug) Galliford of East Bethany; 2 sons, Lee (Cindy) Andrews of Hermitage and Jason (Tammy) Andrews of Pike; 3 sisters, Betty Lacey of Wyoming, Janice (Jesse) Roberts of Centerville, and Waneta Krauss of Castile; 1 brother, Larry Buckley; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Wanda may call from 6 to 8pm Sunday, March 26th, 2017 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. Additional calling hours will be held from 10am to noon Monday, March 27th, 2017. A funeral service will be held following calling hours at noon with Rev. Frank Grossman officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville.
