Thomas D. O'Brien, age 63 of Elm Street, Warsaw, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 3 ^rd 2020, surrounded by his loving family, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Tom was born in North Hornell, October 6 ^th 1956 the son of the late Francis W. and Grace L. Grosso O'Brien. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Tom worked as a HVAC Technician for Griffith Oil in Wyoming where he worked for over 20 years. Tom enjoyed watching football, and was a huge NY Giants fan. He was great with his hands and could fix anything. A quiet kind of guy, Tom cared for his family dearly and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grand daughter; Erin O'Brien, a sister; Charlotte Newton and his foster mother; Dorothy Walczak.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 31 years; Joy A. Gronowski O'Brien, five daughters; Sandra (Darrell) Jones of Silver Springs, Joy (Jim) Stiles of Wyoming, Brandi (Kristopher) McCready of Perry, Kelsey O'Brien and Jenna O'Brien both of Warsaw, five grandchildren; Austin and Alyssa Jones, Jaacob Farraro, Shawn Johannes, and his "Little Boy" Wesley Knitter, six brothers; Kevin O'Brien of Warsaw, Bill O'Brien of Alabama, Leonard (Mary Lou) Gill of California, Vito Grosso of North Carolina, Dennis Gill of Georgia, Dan (Leslie) Walczak of Warsaw, two sisters; Vicki Walczak, Cynthia (Lee) Andrews and his foster father, Thomas Walczak all of Wethersfield and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Ben Campbell of the Wyoming Baptist Church and will be held at 4pm, Thursday, March 12 ^th at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw.
