Thelma Grace Rhinesmith

A resident of SNF Blue Wing of Wyoming County Community Hospital, Thelma slipped quietly away in her sleep on Friday, April 11, 2007 She was the daughter of Merrit and Grace Elwell; sister of Howard and Owen Elwell and wife of Clarence all of whom passed before her. She leaves her son; Jon, her daughter-in-law Debbie and two grandsons; Peter and Steven all of Connecticut.
Before retirement she worked many years at the Brown Knitting Mill and in the kitchen at East Side Nursing home. After selling her home on Liberty Street she moved to and spent many happy years in an apartment above the Smallwood Cook Law offices; the employees there becoming her extended family.
Jon, Debbie, Peter and Steven would like to thank all the nurses, aids and physicians of the SNF unit whose daily care and compassion made her last few years very special. A very special thanks goes out to Jane Stevens who handled all of her affairs when she became unable to.
Abiding by her wishes, there will be no wake or funeral. A graveside remembrance will be held on Monday, April 21 at 11am in the Warsaw Cemetery. All are welcome to attend. Memorial gifts or donations should go to the Warsaw Ambulance Association.
