Sybil J. Landcastle, age 102, formerly of Rt. 20A West Warsaw passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. Sybil was born in Warsaw, May 29, 1922 a daughter of the late Oliver and Ruth Mullett Landcastle. She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw where she worked as a caretaker and cleaner for Zeches Furniture. After retiring from the furniture store, Sybil found joy in helping and caring for others. She provided home care for many of our local residents and her close friends. She was an AARP member and belonged to the Women of The Grange (WOG) Travelers. Sybil was a quiet lady but had a beautiful smile and loved the Lord deeply. She was also former member of the United Church in Warsaw.

Sybil was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Howard Landcastle.

Survivors include her cousins, Nora and Dora Hatfield both of Olympia, Washington, Howard Hatfield of Florida.

Friends of Sybil Landcastle may call on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10am to 12pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 North Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. Funeral services will follow the calling, beginning at 12pm with Pastor Benjamin Campbell of The First Baptist Church of Wyoming. Burial will be private in the Warsaw Cemetery.
