Susannah M. Heubusch age 80, of Mungers Mill Road, Warsaw, passed away peacefully, at home, Monday, October 31, 2023. Sue was born in Gainesville, New York, December 8, 1942, a daughter of the late Donald J. and Naomi G. Skidmore Blakeslee. A 1961 graduate of Warsaw Central School, Sue worked various jobs throughout her life but most recently as a bookkeeper for Sign Language in Perry. Sue was a terrific homemaker, wife, mother, grand and great grandmother. She enjoyed Crocheting, Sewing, traveling and cooking. Quilting and reading were her passion as well as spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed making Ginger Bread Men for family, friends, and the whole neighborhood, making over a 100 every year. Sue was a member of VFW #4823 Auxiliary, the Warsaw Library Board, a 4H leader for over 20 years and was a founding member of the Liberty Way Flag Committee.
Sue was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Barton and a grandson, Richard Smith III.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert Heubusch whom she married on October 13, 1962. Additional survivors include a daughter, Liza Brennan of South Warsaw, a son, Donald Jesse Heubusch of Silver Springs, a sister, Ramona Richardson of LaGrange, 3 grandchildren, Becky Smith of Warsaw, Samantha Smith of Albion, Christopher Smith of Castile and 7 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
