Obituary

Susan L. Kirsch, age 73 of Hollow Road Varysburg, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 3 rd , 2021 at the University Hospital (Strong Memorial) in Rochester. Sue was born in Rochester, June 15 th , 1948, the daughter of the late Norman and Marjorie Bent Bald. Sue was raised in LeRoy, New York and graduated from LeRoy High School in 1966 at which time she pursued her BA in Education at SUNY Geneseo. After graduation, she taught at Sheldon Elementary School. In 1976, Sue decided to leave teaching and begin a new life with her husband owning and operating their own dairy farm and raising a family. Sue was a longtime member of the St. Nicholas Church in North Java and more recently St. Cecelia's in Sheldon. She dedicated much of her time, active in all parish activities. Sue enjoyed crafting, bowling with her friends and was a very avid reader. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met as she was a very strong and independent woman.

Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Edward J. Kirsch, who passed on February 23 rd of this year.

Survivors include her two sons; Mathew Kirsch of Varysburg, Jacob (Nicole) Kirsch of Farmington, a daughter; Barbara (Timothy) Monaghan of Albion, 3 grandchildren; Michael and Daniel Kirsch, and Owen Monaghan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends of Susan Kirsch may call on Tuesday, September 14 th from 4-7pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw. A private graveside service will be held in St. Cecelia's Cemetery in Sheldon at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions are requested to the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society or Wilmot Cancer Institute.
