Stanley F. Walczak, age 92, of Hermitage Road, Warsaw died suddenly March 5, 2008 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born, October 3rd, 1915 in Depew, New York, the son of the late John and Victoria Konecki Walczak. Stanley was a lifetime resident of Warsaw and Owned and operated the family dairy farm in Wethersfield. He served his country during WWII with the Army Air Corps as a tail gunner on a B-17. In his younger years in the Army Air Corp he was a Golden Gloves Boxer. Stanley was a member of the Rock Glen, Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. He is remembered for always having tomatoes to give away. He also enjoyed playing the spoons, his harmonica and yodeling as he was a very musical person.
Stanley was predeceased by 2 sisters; Virginia Macejewski and Florence Schemm. 3 brothers; John, Edward and Chester also preceded him in death.
Survivors include 3 Sisters; Amelia O'Neil and Carrie Walczak both of Hamburg, NY and Clara Walczak of Warsaw. Also surviving is a Brother Thomas Walczak of Warsaw and several nieces and nephews.
Friends of Stanley F. Walczak may call on Saturday, March 8th from 3-8pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw where services will be held on Monday at 10am.
Burial will be held in the Union Park Cemetery in Wethersfield.
