Obituary

Shannon J. Conley, age 51, of South Main St. passed away at home, Sunday, October 22nd, 2017. He was born in Warsaw, August 10th, 1966, son of the late James and Beatrice Akin Conley. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1985 graduate of Perry Central School, Shannon worked in construction both self employed and with the Rochester Laborers Union 435. He was a member of the New Testament Church in Perry, the Warsaw Vets club and the Perry Vets club as well as being a former Moose Club member. Shannon served his country honorably with the National Guard of the United States. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, attending concerts, and was an avid John Cougar Mellencamp fan. Shannon loved his family and friends; and was a real people person who would often call to offer words of encouragement. Survivors include a daughter, Shayla Walters of Warsaw; 2 brothers, Terry (Tawnnee) Conley of Warsaw and Shawn (Dawn) Conley of Warsaw; 2 sisters, Cindy (Dan) McClurg of Warsaw and Daeann (Rick) Hoad of Warsaw; 3 aunts, Joanne (Larry) Prosser of Warsaw, Violet Conley of Perry, and Evelyn Akin of Florida; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends of Shannon may call from 10am to Noon Saturday, October 28th, 2017 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following calling hours at noon with Pastor Gene Parker officiating. Burial will take place in the Elmwood Cemetery, Silver Springs with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made in Shannon's name to his family.
