Sally A. Meeder, age 86, formerly of Dale Road in Dale, New York, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born in Attica, March 2, 1935, the daughter of the late Arthur and Louise Houseknect Alwardt. Sally graduated from Wyoming Central School in 1953 and went on to marry her childhood sweetheart. She was a very sharp lady and was terrific with numbers. Sally worked as a bookkeeper for the Equity Milk Co-Op, the Wyoming Central School and the Middlebury Town Supervisor. After many years of keeping the books, Sally took on the task of the Middlebury Town Clerk and later Supervisor. Throughout the years she maintained her own catering business that she started with her close friend, Joanne Brotherton. Sally was always on the go and she loved traveling, cooking and square dancing. She dedicated much of her time to her family, church, and community and her passing leaves a deep void in the community.

Sally was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years; William "Bill" Meeder whom she married October 3, 1953.

Survivors include her three sons; James Meeder, Jeffrey (Susan Beaver) Meeder, and Gregory (Sherrel) Meeder all of Dale, NY, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends of Sally A. Meeder may call on Thursday, February 3 ^rd from 1-3 and 6-8pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Friday, February 4 ^th at 11am. Burial will take place in the Springtime in the Dale Cemetery.
