Ruth I. Todd, age 94, formerly of Silver Springs, passed away Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was the last baby born in Gibsonville, NY, October 28th, 1922, daughter of the late John T. and Katherine Hull Hare. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and graduate of Castile High School, Ruth worked for Curtis-Burns (now Seneca Foods) in Mt. Morris for 10 years as well as being a dedicated housewife. She was a member of the Silver Springs Methodist Church in Silver Springs; a member of the Warsaw Grange and the Wyoming County Pomona Grange for over 50 years where she held the position of State Lecturer; the Warsaw Home Bureau, the Council of Rural Women, and Peers Helping Peers where she was past secretary. Ruth was very proud of her flower garden. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Nelson E. S. Todd in 1999; a brother, Orsemus Hare; a sister, Frances Eaton; a grandson, Christoper Todd; and a granddaughter, Erika Todd. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley (Wesley) Kline of Bridgeton, NJ; 4 sons, Nelson (Kay) Todd of Silver Springs, Leslie (Judy) Todd of Warsaw, William Todd of Silver Springs, and Robert (Lori) Todd of Warsaw; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Friends of Ruth may call Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 from 10am to Noon at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following calling hours at noon, with Rev. John Shearing of the Letchworth New Life Fellowship officiating. Burial will take place privately in the Elmwood Cemetery, Silver Springs.
