Ruth H. Goodenow, age 94, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, September 16th, 2013 at her home. She was born in Warsaw, April 10th, 1919, daughter of the late Jacob and Helena Nimsker Weber. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Ruth worked at the Warsaw Knitting Mill for 30 years, and then Mallory timers from where she retired in 1984. She enjoyed shopping, crossword puzzles, traveling with her daughter, going on senior bus trips and was an avid Tiger Woods and golf fan. Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband Edgar W. Goodenow; a daughter, Yvonne Jacoby; and 2 sisters, Glendora Weber and Verna Goodenow. Survivors include 2 sons, Richard (Ellen) Goodenow of Madusa, NY and Roger (Judy) Goodenow of Castile; a son-in-law, Raymond Jacoby of Bliss; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and 3 nieces. Friends of Ruth may call Thursday, September 19th, 2013, from 11am to 2pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, 2pm, with Pastor Ron Brown of the New Beginnings Fellowship Center as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery.
