Ruth J. Durfee, age 88, of Orchard Park Road, West Seneca, died Sunday, June 21st at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Ruth was born in Sayre, P.A., October 8th 1920, the daughter of the late John and Laura Jenny-Millard. Ruth was a 1938 graduate of Waverly High School and after WWII moved to Wyoming County. She moved to West Seneca three years ago to be closer to her children. A long time member of the United Church of Warsaw, Ruth enjoyed volunteering there and at the Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her friends. Her favorite times were those spent with all of her grandchildren. Ruth is predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth Durfee in 1985, a daughter; Kay Durfee, 2 brothers; Seymore and John Millard Jr., and a sister; Alice Collins. Survivors include 2 daughters; Linda (Robert) Bridge of West Seneca, Marie (Lowell) Wilcox of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, 4 granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews surive. Friends of Ruth J. Durfee may call on Thursday, June 25th at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
