Roy W. Griffen, age 87, of Buckman Rd., Pavilion, passed away Saturday, May 24th, 2014 at Absolut at Houghton in Houghton, NY. He was born in Orangeville, February 17th, 1927, son of the late Charles Lloyd and Rachel Elizabeth Burks Griffen. Having worked in the feed business his entire career, Roy retired as a truck driver for Agway in Batavia in 1991. Roy was a deeply loving and dedicated husband as well as a hard worker. He was predeceased by a brother, Austin Griffen and a sister, Lois Wing. Survivors include his loving wife Frances Wilkie Griffen whom he married September 2nd, 1950; a foster son, Robert Williams of Pavilion; a sister, Eileen Spear of Houghton; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11am, Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at the East Bethany Presbyterian Church. Burial will take place at a later date in the Wyoming Cemetery.
