Rose W. Barnes, age 90, died peacefully, Tuesday, April 01, 2008 at the Brian Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brevard, North Carolina.
Rose was born in Warsaw, NY March 1st 1918, the daughter of the late Scott and Lovina (Munger) Dewey. She was a 1936 graduate of Warsaw Central School and went on to study nursing for two years at Geneseo State. Rose spent 30 years in Warsaw before moving to Florida for 20 and then Brevard for the last 30 years of her life. She was a homemaker and sold Avon for several years. She enjoyed playing piano and doing arts and crafts. Rose was known as a very fun loving and energetic person who will be sadly missed.
She is predeceased by her parents and husband Omis Barnes.
She is survived by her son David (Joyce) Coulter of Wyoming and several cousins.
Graveside services will be held at the Union Park Cemetery in Wethersfield on Saturday, April 5th at 10am. The Reverend Winston Platt will act as celebrant. Weeks Funeral Home 123 North Main Street Warsaw is handling arrangements.
