Ronald J.
Pastor
Apr 4, 1938 — Dec 24, 2023
Mt. Morris
Ronald J. Pastor age 85, of Mt. Morris, passed away at home, peacefully, Sunday, December 24, 2023. Ron was born in Buffalo, April 4, 1938 a son of the late Joseph and Madeline Pastor. Ron graduated from McKinley High School in 1956. He joined the Air Force and Air National Guard serving honorably during the Cuban Missile Crisis and in the Vietnam Era. After returning home, Ron worked as an Assembly Technician for Moog in East Aurora for 43 years before retiring in 2000. Ron will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and we would like to share this quote from him. "I figure if I'm going to do something, I want it to be positive. I like to make people happy and feel informed. I try to help people feel better, more secure. I get a lot of enjoyment for myself that way. I'll tell the older ladies at Walmart- I like your hair, and it makes their day." Ron was a lifelong fly fisherman and enjoyed tying his own flies. He was artistic as well as funny and he enjoyed painting. Ron volunteered with the Wyoming County Bereavement Group through the Office for the Aging and attended the Guardian Angels Support Group in Mt. Morris. Until his recent passing, Ron could always be found alongside his beloved dog, "Patch".
Ron was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Breddy and his second wife, Barbara Morsheimer, 2 brothers, Richard and Thomas, a sister, Patricia Lehner and a granddaughter, Jaimie Chapman.
