Roger Pease, age 67, of Perry Rd., Pavilion, passed away Thursday, September 26th, 2013, at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw, He was born in Hilton, July 20th, 1946, son of the late John M. and Flora I. Chrysler Pease. A longtime resident of Wyoming County, Roger worked as a machinist for LeRoy Machine, from where he retired in 1978. He served his country with the United States Army, was known to have a terrific sense of humor and loved to make people smile. Roger enjoyed playing guitar, cooking and was known for his pasta sauce; though his greatest joy, besides his family, was giving to others. He was a parishioner of the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Geneseo. Roger is survived by his wife, Cherry Young of Batavia; 2 daughters, Julie (Joseph Pilarski) Weber of Clarence and Sarrah Pease of Phoenixville, PA; a son, Jason (Sarah Hartig) Pease of Las Vegas, NV; 3 brothers, Tom (Fay) Pease of Pavilion, James (Cynthia) Pease of Warsaw, and Greg Pease of Nashville, TN; 2 sisters, Nancy Mooney of Pavilion and Shirley (Ron) Richmond of Canandaigua; a grandson, Jared Weber of Clarence; a granddaughter, Chelsey Weber of Clarence; and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Roger may call from 1pm to 3pm, Sunday, September 29th, at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. A funeral service will take place 10am, Monday, September 30th, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God, Geneseo, with Reverend Paul Metzger as celebrant. Burial will follow privately in the LaGrange Cemetery, LaGrange. Memorial contributions may be made in Roger's name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at PO Box 78960 Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960.
