Robert D. Kessler, age 79 of Dunham Road, Varysburg, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Veterans Hospital, in Buffalo, after a long battle with respiratory illness.

Bob was born in Scranton, PA a son of the late Robert Kessler and Nadys Daniels Morgan. He graduated from Kenmore East High School in 1962 and joined the United States Army serving honorably at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Upon returning from the Army, Bob began working for Dunlop Tire in Tonawanda from which he retired as a Mold Changer in 1999 after 35 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Bob was a member of the American Legion and the Warsaw Veterans Club. Bob earned the 32 degree of Masonry in the Renaissance Lodge #1188 in Cheektowaga. He was a dedicated earner for his family and will be missed by many friends in New York and Florida where he and his late wife Wintered over.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Schraven Kessler.

Survivors include his 2 sons, Robert (Donna A.) Kessler of Tonawanda, Jeffrey (Christine) Kessler of Basom, a sister, Nancy Kessler of Lancaster, a brother, David Kessler of Columbus, OH, 3 grandchildren, Lauren, Robert, and Jessica as well as multiple great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
