Robert G. Granger, age 91, of Prospect St., passed away Thursday, November 29 ^th , 2018 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. He was born in Warsaw, March 9 ^th , 1927, son of the late Gordon and Florence Granger. A lifetime member of Wyoming County, Robert worked as a letter carrier for the USPS in Warsaw, retiring from the post office in Perry in 1997 after 38 years. He served his country honorably with the United States Navy during WWII on the U.S.S Smart, was a lifetime member of the VFW post 5009 in Perry, a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge #560 and a member of the Warsaw Fire Department Exempts. Robert was a well known man, loved by many and liked by all. He enjoyed sports and was a New York Yankees Fan. Robert was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Lou Pratt Granger; a brother, Donald Granger; and an infant sister, Beverly Granger. Survivors include a son, Robin Granger of San Francisco, CA and a daughter, Patti Granger of Sacramento, CA. Robert will be laid to rest privately in the Warsaw Cemetery.
