Rita K. Hurlburt, age 92, of Salina St., Warsaw, passed away Monday, September 26th, 2016 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Attica, September 25th, 1924, daughter of the late Anthony and Bertha Golombek Wieczorek. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1942 graduate of Attica High School, Rita was a dedicated and loving housewife. She was a member of St. Michael's Church in Warsaw. Rita was predeceased by her husband, Charles S. Hurlburt in 1981; 2 sisters, Frances Baker and Irene Rohl; a brother, Walter Wieczorek; a grandson, Jason Hurlburt, and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Kay Hurlburt. Survivors include 3 sons, David (Dorene) Hurlburt of Warsaw, Daniel Hurlburt of Warsaw, and Dale "Sookie"(Evie) Hurlburt of Perry; 3 daughters, Sharyn (Joseph) Guarino of Geneseo, Shelly (Eric) Snyder of Warsaw, and Sandy (John) Bick of Warsaw; a daughter-in-law, Karen Hurlburt of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A private family funeral service will be held at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw with Deacon John Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
