Richard H. Hawkins, age 74, of Weber Rd., passed away Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013 at his home in Gainesville. He was born in Warren, PA, August 8th, 1938, son of the late William and Helen Hawkins. A resident of Wyoming County since 1986, and previously of Buffalo, Richard worked as an inspector with Bethlehem Steel in Lackawana, NY. Richard belonged to various snowmobile clubs throughout Wyoming County and enjoyed riding the trails. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, playing shuffleboard, snowbirding to Florida and adventures on his golf cart. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Cynthia A. Hawkins and 3 brothers, Robert, William and Russel. Survivors include 2 sons, Raymond (Susan Machin) Hawkins of Tonawanda and Duane (Laura) Hawkins of Niagara Falls; 3 granddaughters, Gina, Lindsey and Melissa; 3 grandsons, Edward, Benjamin and Jeffery; several nieces and nephews, and longtime family friend, Evelyn (Larry) Karsky of Tonawanda. Friends of Richard may call from 5pm to 7pm, Friday, July 26th, 2013 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following calling hours with Pastor Lauren Turner of the United Methodist Church of Warsaw as officiant.
