Richard (Ril) Blatchford, age 77 of Sherman Ave. Wyoming died suddenly, April 1st 2009 at the Veterans Hospital in Buffalo. He was born in Wyoming, August 14th 1931 the son of the late Ernest and Sylvia Hale Blatchford. He graduated from Wyoming School in 1949 and went on to study at Morrisville AG and Tech. Ril served in the Air Force during the Korean War and later went on to study at Oswego State. Ril worked at Rochester Institute of Technology as a Mechanical Technician for many years before retiring in 1975. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog Pupper, boating and collecting antique model cars. Ril was predeceased by his sister; Rowena McGrail. Survivors include 2 sisters; Louise Smith of Webster, NY and Helen (Jack) Lee of Ontario, NY, and a brother; David (Jane) Blatchford of Baldwinsvile, NY. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held in the Wyoming Cemetery on Saturday, April 11th at 2pm with full military honors.
