Reva L. Spann, age 77 of Lake St. passed away Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was born in Warsaw, April 27th, 1939, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Jacobs Ellis. A lifetime resident of Perry, Reva was very fond of her childhood memories. She grew up on a farm and left school to work at the family restaurant. Later, Reva worked at the Warsaw Knitting Mill from 1958 to 1972, and then for Robeson Cutlery for a few years before becoming a home health aide. As a home health aide, Reva worked for Homemakers in Wyoming and Genesee Counties from 1985 to 2000, and then for Unlimited Care in Rochester from 2000-2007. She was a member of the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry, the Perry Newcomers and the Ladies of the Home Bureau of Warsaw. Reva enjoyed crocheting. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Raymond and David Ellis; and 2 sisters, Linda Guvera and Phyllis Garcia. Survivors include her husband, John A. Spann of Perry; a son, Howie Ellis of Perry, a daughter, Lisa Tallman of Perry; 3 brothers, Harold "Bill" (Donna) Ellis of Warsaw, James (Shirley) Ellis of North Carolina, and Lawrence (Sue) Ellis of Painted Post, NY. A memorial service will be held at Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw, at 11am Tuesday, July 19th, 2016 with Rev. Kavin Rossman of the Brick Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will take place privately at a later date in the Leicester Cemetery. Please visit www.weeksfuneral.com to offer online condolences.
