Rebecca A. Vonglis age 84, of North Main Street Warsaw and formerly Silver Springs, passed away, Monday, November 28, 2022 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. Becky was born in Sardinia, New York October 20, 1938 a daughter of the late Donald and Marian Lewis Newland. Becky worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for WCCH for many years until 1980 then at SUNY Geneseo until 2000. She retired in 2006 after working privately in home health care. Becky was a Bills and Yankees fan. She loved her family and her dogs dearly. Many good times were had traveling with her husband to various Veteran Functions throughout the country. Everyone remembers her patriotic lawn decorations and flag displays that she made to remember our veterans.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Harry "Nick" Vonglis in 2010, a daughter, Roxanne (Jerry) Maggio, her sisters, Nancy (Len) Baylor Gladys Newland, and Donna Brothers.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Donald Begnouche of South Warsaw, Jerry (Sharon Lee) Vonglis of Perry, 3 sisters, Linda Hamilton of Warsaw, Bonnie and Tina Newland both of South Warsaw, 2 grandchildren, Jerry Vonglis Jr. of Perry, Joseph Maggio of Webster, and a great grandson, Jacob Maggio of Webster.

Friends of Rebecca Vonglis may call on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 12pm to 2pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. Funeral services will follow the calling and begin at 2pm with Pastor Daryn Duff as officiant. Please visit www.weeksfuneral.com to offer condolences. Burial will follow privately in Arlington National Cemetery beside her husband "Nick".
