Randolph J. "Randy" Sheer, 62, of Castile, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo.

Born on October 22, 1963, at Warsaw Hospital, Randy was the son of Ronald J. Sheer of Belleview, Florida, and the late Bonita A. "Bonnie" Langenfeld Sheer. He graduated from Attica Central School in 1981 and later earned an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Genesee Community College.

Throughout his life, Randy called many Western New York communities home, including North Java, Attica, Arcade, Lancaster, Silver Lake, and most recently Castile, where he lived for the past three years. A hardworking and friendly man, Randy spent much of his career serving the communities he lived in. He worked for PepsiCo for over 20 years, becoming known to many as the "Pepsi Man" throughout Arcade and the surrounding areas. Pepsi was not just an occupation to Randy, He lived it. He later worked for Tops Markets and retired in 2025 as a Store Manager of Save-A-Lot in Warsaw. Randy took pride in his work and genuinely enjoyed getting to know the people he served.

Randy lived life on his own terms, usually with a cold Pepsi or Fresca nearby and a deep appreciation for the simple things. From a young age, he loved motorcycles and the freedom of the open road. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan who enjoyed bowling in his younger years, watching classic movies, playing arcade games, maintaining an aquarium, taking pride in his landscaping, and building his coin collection. He was fascinated by the legend of Bigfoot and enjoyed learning about the history of the Titanic.

One of Randy's greatest joys was spending time outdoors with his family. Letchworth State Park held a special place in his heart, bringing back fond memories of childhood adventures and family outings. He loved exploring nature, visiting state parks, and discovering caves, including trips to Howe Caverns with his children.

Above all else, Randy was devoted to his family. He loved supporting his children in their extracurricular activities, attending band concerts, solo festivals, marching band shows, and other events. He was the kind of dad who always made time for his children, whether building snow forts in the winter, creating backyard projects in the summer, reading bedtime stories, or simply sharing laughter and everyday adventures. His children will remember him for his unwavering support, playful spirit, and the countless memories he helped create.

Randy is survived by his four daughters, Amy (Larry) Hoard of Delevan, Emily Sheer of Louisville, Kentucky, Elizabeth Sheer of Lancaster, and Megan Sheer of Williamsville; his son, Cole Appleby of Lancaster; his stepson, Marcus Appleby of Lancaster; his father, Ronald J. Sheer of Belleview, Florida; his brother, Daniel (Christina) Sheer of Bliss; his five grandchildren, Brianna (Jeffrey) Baker, Addelaye Atkinson, Kylie Atkinson, Ava Hoard, and Neela Sheer; his great-grandson, Beau Baker; his nephews, Connor and Colter Sheer; his niece, Ariana Sheer; and several additional nieces, nephews, and cousins.
