Ralph E. Schneckenburger, age 81, of Prospect St. Warsaw, died Monday, February 7th, 2011, at the East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. He was born in Dale, NY, December 29th, 1929, the son of the late Glen and Blanche Dersam Schneckenburger. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Ralph was a 1947 graduate of Warsaw Central School and held an A.S. degree in agriculture from Alfred State University. Ralph purchased his family's farm on Liberty St. in Warsaw where he worked diligently. He will be remembered for the love he had for his farm, cows and ponies. Ralph was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Dairyman's League. He was also a member of the Warsaw United Church and served on its Board of Sessions for 3 years as well as being past Lodge Master and 50 year member of the Masons in Warsaw. Ralph is predeceased by his first wife, Elsie Fridley; 3 sisters, Violet Lee, Ruth Robinson and Georgia Yanko; 3 brothers, John "Lee", David and Clifford Schneckenburger; and a granddaughter, Shannon Schneckenburger. Survivors include his wife, Verna Wolcott Schneckenburger whom he married in 1986; a son, Steven (Debra) Schneckenburger of York; 8 stepchildren, Marjorie (David) Rogers, Edward (Jean) Hulme, Douglas (Valerie) Hulme, Steven (Wendy) Hulme, Kathleen (Kim) Humphrey, Teri (Phillip) Schabloski, Ralph (Nancy) Hulme, and Rodney (Lisa) Hulme; 24 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Ralph may call Wednesday, February 9th, 2011 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123. N Main Street, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 10th, 2011 at 11am with Rev. Charles Leport of the United Church of Warsaw as celebrant. Burial will take place privately.
