Phyllis J. Flint, age 75 of North Java and formerly Perry, died suddenly, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, April 7th 2012 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Phyllis was born in Wellsville, NY the daughter of the late Frank and Vera Wright. Phyllis was a 1955 graduate of Warsaw High School and worked for twenty years as a bookkeeper for various companies throughout the region. She then went on to work for and retired in 1999 from Lucidol in Piffard where she worked as a laboratory technician for twenty years. Phyllis was a former member of the New Beginnings Church in Hermitage and the Redhat Society of Varysburg. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, crocheting and painting. Phyllis will be remembered as a woman of great internal strength who had a deep love of her family and of music.
She was preceded in death by a brother Jack Wright and a sister, Mary Ann Brown.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Diane (James) Gebel of North Java, Marcy (Richard) Keith of Racine, WI, 3 Sisters; Nancy (Robert) Miller of Gainesville, Jane (William) Fitch of Perry, Barbara (Donald) Edwards of Perry, 2 grandchildren; Gabrielle and Chandler Gebel and several nieces and nephews survive.
A memorial service will be held at 6pm Wednesday, April 11th, 2012 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw, NY 14569. Burial will be private in the Union Park Cemetery in Wethersfield.
