Pamela J. Slocum, age 59, of Wethersfield Rd. passed away Sunday, February 18th, 2018 at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Warsaw, March 23rd, 1958, daughter of the late Ernest R. and Evelyn M. Baker Cousins. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1976 graduate of Warsaw Central School, Pam worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Agarwal at Warsaw OBGYN for 10 years. She was a member of the United Church of Warsaw where she was a member of the Board of Benevolence and taught Sunday school for 10 years. Pamela enjoyed cooking and gardening as well as her family and grandchildren. She was a part-time caterer and supported the local veterans of Wyoming County. Over an 8 year period, Pamela cared for 856 children at the 3 Bears Daycare which she also owned and operated. She was predeceased by a nephew, Timothy Cousins. Survivors include a son, Matthew (Holly) Slocum of Perry; a daughter, Rachel Slocum of Rochester; 2 sisters, Carrole (Roger) Brei of Rochester and Naoma (Richard) Ranalli of Henrietta; 2 brothers, Gale (Sherry) Cousins of Bliss and Gary (Ann) Cousins of Warsaw; 2 grandchildren, Gavin Slocum and Alexandria Faryna both of Perry; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial calling hours will take place Thursday, February 22nd, 2018 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw from 2 to 5pm. There will be no service but a summer celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
