Oliver Lysle "Bud" Richardson, age 93, of Prospect St., formerly of Perry, passed away Monday, September 9th, 2013 at the East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. He was born in Honeoye Falls, January 4th, 1920, son of the late Oliver and Bernice Jenkins Richardson. A resident of Wyoming County since 1953, Bud worked as a mechanic, then as a self employed dairy farmer. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors and was known as a generous and giving person. Bud was a very devoted to his family and was great working with his hands. He was predeceased a son, John C. Richardson; a brother, Tom Richardson; 3 sisters, Bess Ayers, Grace Favata, and Virginia Eygabroat; and a grandson, Rory Richardson. Survivors include his loving wife of 73 years, Rita Allen Richardson of Warsaw; 4 sons, Doug (Ramona) Richardson of Pavilion, James Richardson of Raleigh, NC, Phil (Carolyn) Richardson of Perry, and Frank Richardson of Terra Haute, IN; 2 daughters, Marlene Barone of Springhill, FL and Marion (Donald) Strathearn of Perry; 3 brothers, Charles (Ginny) Richardson of Frewsburg, James "Drew" (Aggie) Richardson of Rochester, and Bill (Mary) Richardson of Dale; 20 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Bud may call Wednesday, September 11th, 2013 from 10am to 12pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 12pm with Pastor Lauren Turner of the United Methodist Church of Warsaw as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming.
