Norman P. May, age 89, of Fisher Rd., Warsaw, passed away Sunday, October 20th, 2013 at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born in Michigan, September 1st, 1924, son of the late Norman and Pauline Ingraham May. Norm served our country honorably during WWII with the Army Air Corp. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Norman worked as a maintenance supervisor at C.B. Foods in Mt. Morris from where he retired in 1983 after 30 years. Norman was a practical joker. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, making his own fishing lures, woodworking, and crafting. Norman owned and operated May's Fish and Tackle in Perry and May's 3D Woodcraft in Castile for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley M. Brown May; 2 daughters, Diane and Marsha May; 1 brother, Charles May; and a sister, Betty Horner. Survivors include 2 daughters, Karen (Chuck) McKinney of Charlotte, NC, and Linda Seaward of Warsaw; a son, Norman (Linda) May Jr. of Hermitage; a sister-in-law, Louise May of Fred, TX; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be private in the Warsaw Cemetery.
