Norma R. Rissinger, age 86, of Cook Hill Rd. Cheshire, CT, passed away Wednesday, October 17th, 2012 at the Elim Park Continuing Care Retirement Community. She was born in Hermitage NY, March 16th, 1926, the daughter of the late Lynn and Bernice Nutting Smith. A resident of Connecticut since 2002, previously of Silver Springs, NY, and a 1944 graduate of Bliss High School, Norma worked at several different jobs including Eastman Kodak, Wyoming County Home Health Care, and most recently with Meals On Wheels for Wyoming County, NY. She was a woman of intense faith with a deep love for her family. She loved horses, the country, and being involved with her church. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Warren A. Rissinger who passed away January 8th, 2000. Survivors include a son; Joel (Karen) Rissinger of Newington, CT; a daughter, Julie (Michael) Wirth of Gilmanton, NH; a brother, Charles Smith of Warsaw, NY; grandchildren David Rissinger, Rachelle Figueroa, Derek and Clarissa Wirth, as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends of Norma may call from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm, Thursday, October 25th, 2012 at the Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St. Warsaw, NY 14569. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, 10am, Friday, October 26th, 2012 with Pastor John Knaak of Grace Communion International Church as officant. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville. There will be a luncheon reception at the United Methodist Church, 6 West Court Street in Warsaw, NY following burial.
