Norma M Kniffin, age 94 of Prospect St. Warsaw and formerly Rush, NY, passed away January 18, 2008 at the East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. She was born April 17th 1914, in Silver Springs, NY the daughter of the late James and Frances Whelan-Kniffin. She was predeceased by her sister Monica Bush. She is survived by sisters Katherine Clark, and Elizabeth Johnston, of Naples, NY and Jane Flint of Lake Wales, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She served as postmistress in Silver Springs. She graduated from RBI and the Cadet Nursing Program at Genesee Hospital. She finished her RN degree there in 1948 and worked for many years in the Rochester area.
She was an avid Knitter, bowler, golfer, and an accomplished Braille writer.
A funeral mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Church in Silver Springs. Burial will follow in the church cemetery in the Spring. Arrangements are being handled by Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. Memorial contributions are requested to the Sunshine Fund at East Side, 62 Prospect St. Warsaw, NY 14569
