Norma M. Bennett, age 95 of North Main St., passed away Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Highland Park, MI, September 25th, 1921, daughter of the late Harry and Stella McNeil LaVasseur. In her early years, Norma and her parents moved to Buffalo, where she married her late husband, Harry Bennett. While in Buffalo, Norma worked at the Sattlers Department Store. Later, Norma and Harry moved to Wyoming County, living in Johnsonburg, Varysburg, and then Warsaw. She retired from Mallory Timers. Norma enjoyed family gatherings, travel, Caribbean cruises, playing bingo and playing the lottery. She was an outgoing woman who had many friends. Norma is survived by 6 children, Harry Bennett of Warsaw, Carol (Joe) Pilc of Pavilion, Norma (Bill) Gerhardt of Varysburg, Danny (Judy) Bennett of Arkansas, John (Debbie) Bennett of Silver Springs and Mary (Wayne) Whaley of Pavilion, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. Friends of Norma may call from 10am to noon Wednesday, December 28th, 2016 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held following calling hours at noon. Burial will take place in the Wyoming Cemetery at a later date.
