Milton S. Bauer, age 68 of Rt. 19 South Warsaw, died Tuesday, May 14th surrounded by his loving family at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. Butch was born in Nunda, NY July 20th 1944, the son of the late Milton Bauer and Sarah Christian Bauer of Balston Spa, NY. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Butch worked for Mallory Timers in Warsaw and 27 years at Bausch & Lomb as a plating specialist making eye glasses in Rochester. He retired from there in 1995 and also worked as a CNA at both Manor Oak in Warsaw and Livingston County CNR in Mt. Morris. Butch and Janet opened their hearts and home for 17 years as Wyoming County Foster Parents helping to raise 62 foster children. He was a member of St. Michael's Church in Warsaw and loved to ride his motorcycle. Butch was a longtime member of CC Riders Motorcycle Club in Silver Springs and enjoyed spending time being Grandpa to his four granddaughters.
Butch is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Janet M. George whom he married on May 9th 1970, his mother Sarah Bauer of Balston Spa, NY, three sons; Jayson (Emily) Bauer of Avon, Damion Frye of Lawrenceville, GA, Matthew D. (Panya) Bauer of Fairport, two daughters; Candase (Jesse Osborne) Ramos of Perry, Angel (Joshua Fitzpatrick) Bauer of Warsaw, two sisters; Donna (Richard) Sharman of Toano, VA, Yvonne (Thomas) Rumsey of Benicia, CA, four granddaughters; Araceli Ramos, Abigail Marie, Dulce Ramos, Trinity Osborne and one on the way baby Braelyn Fitzpatrick as well as two nieces, a nephew and two beloved dogs; Sugar Bear and Lucky.
Friends of Butch Bauer may call at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw on Friday, May 17th from 4-7pm followed by a funeral service conducted by Deacon John Kelly of St. Michael's at 7pm. Burial will be private in St. Michael's Cemetery. Memorial may be made to the Wyoming County SPCA at 808 Creek Rd. Attica, NY 14011
