Obituary

Meredith E. Allbright, age 68, of East Koy Road Pike, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, January 29 th 2018. Meredith was the last to be born in the old Fillmore Hospital, April 10 th 1950 the daughter of the late Richard Washburn and Lois Remington Washburn of Pike. A 1968 graduate of Letchworth Central School, Meredith attended GCC for two years before beginning her career in retail sales. She worked for a time at the Colonial Restaurant in Portageville, drove school bus for 15 years and worked for 10 years at WalMart before retiring in 2000. She was also a member of the Stebbins Chapter #503 of the Order Of The Eastern Star. Meredith was sweet and soft spoken woman who battled her illness bravely for 18 years without complaint. She kept upbeat through it all, enjoying crocheting and making cookies for every occasion, not just Christmas. She enjoyed traveling to New York City and to Connecticut. Meredith was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is predeceased by her father, Richard Washburn and her son, Jason Allbright who passed in 2017.

Survivors include her loving husband, of 48 years, David Allbright whom she married September 4 th 1970, a son; Brian (Jim Compton) Allbright of West Hartford, CT, 1 granddaughter; Carolyn Compton-Allbright, 2 grandsons; Thomas and Jefferson Compton-Allbright all of West Hartford, Ct, her mother; Lois Washburn of Pike, 2 sisters; Marlene Hubbard of Pike, Melva (David) Clark of Sherburne, NY, 2 brothers; Morris (Lori) Washburn of McEwen, TN, and Mitchell (Elaine) Washburn of Pike.

A family celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2019 from 1-3pm at the Triluminar Lodge #543 of the F & AM Lodge 55 Main Street Pike, NY 14130 and interment will take place privately in the Elmwood Cemetery in Pike. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw has arrangements. Memorial contributions are requested in Meredith's name to the Pike Rescue Squad at PO Box 175 Pike, NY 14130.
