McKINLEY HERBERT GATH, Jr.
CLERMONT, FL – McKinley (Mack) Herbert Gath, Jr. Age 91, passed away peacefully
at his home December 10, 2020.
Mack was born October 4, 1929 in Warsaw, New York to McKinley Henry Gath, Sr. and
Estelle (McKinzie) Gath, attended school in Warsaw, graduating from High School in
1947. He lived in Rochester, NY for many years, retiring from Eastman Kodak, before
coming to Florida as a "snowbird", wintering in Punta Gorda and finally in Clermont, FL,
returning to NY for the summers.
He enjoyed membership in the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, membership in the
Loyal Order of Moose, Life membership in the Elks, a 32º Mason and a member of
Damascus Temple of the Shriners. He is a veteran, having served in the USMC.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Adele (1997), his second wife, Dolores in 2017,
two brothers, Buster and Ellis Gath, and a sister, Alice Gath Lewis.
He is survived by his son Mark (Lyn) Gath, daughters Karen Gath and Pam Johnson,
stepdaughter Deanne (Joseph) Porter, stepson Robert (Stephanie) Rudman, 19
grandchildren, 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
