Max R. Millen, age 61, of North Water Street, Pike, passed away Saturday, August 27th, 2011 at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Warsaw, February 4th, 1950, the son of the late James and Emily Hodge Millen. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1968 graduate of Letchworth High School, Max worked 20 years as an operator, millwright, and welder for Indeck Energy in Silver Springs. He was a member of the Eagle Memorial American Legion Post #1720, past commander of Hunt-Stout Post #1670, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Max served his country with the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972 including serving in Vietnam. He loved tinkering and spending time working on anything with his grandchildren. Max is survived by his loving companion of 20 years, Vickie Parke of Pike; 5 daughters, Mandi Millen of Cazenovia, NY, Misty (Mark) Woodard of Bliss, Marcy (Jim) Souter of Bliss, Holli (Joe Richardson) Hartman of Pike and Megan (Carl) Baker of Ft. Drum, NY; 2 sons, Eric Parke of Lacon, IL and Derek Parke of Pike; a brother, Ralph Millen of Warsaw; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Max may call from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm, Thursday, September 1st, at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A service will be conducted at 6:45pm at the funeral home by the American Legion. A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, September 2nd, at the funeral home with Rev.
