MaryLou Matyas, age 79, of Oatka Street Warsaw, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. MaryLou was born in Warsaw May 18, 1945 a daughter of the late Croy and Mary Bauer Woodworth. She resided in Warsaw since 2007 and previously in Freedom. MarLou graduated from Perry High School in 1961 and worked for a time at the Perry Knitting Mill, Archway and the One Stop in Freedom. MaryLou spent many years as a dedicated Home Health Aid for Assessment Systems in Machias before retiring in 2009. She truly enjoyed the company of her family and friends. She was a terrific baker who enjoyed baking pies. MaryLou was an incredibly independent lady who never wanted anyone to worry or fuss over her.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Melvin Peterson and her third husband, Sandor Matyas, a sister, Ann Woodworth, three brothers, Gene, Lester, and James Woodworth.

Survivors include her three sons, Frank (Kay) Peterson of Sebring, FL, John (the late Bernadette) Peterson of Warsaw, Richard (Renee) Neamon of Sandusky, a daughter, Debbie Peterson of Portageville, three brothers, Charlie (Florence) Woodworth of Perry, Fred (Norma) Woodworth of Mt. Morris, Merle Woodworth of Pike, 9 grand and 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and her second husband Ronnie Neamon of Delevan.

A celebration of life will at the Warsaw Moose, 12pm Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Burial will be private in the Warsaw Cemetery.
