Mary Jane Logsdon, age 93, of Big Tree Rd. passed away Friday, November 4th, 2016 at the East Side Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born in Covington, December 14th, 1922, daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Snider Wellman. A lifetime resident of Pavilion, Mary Jane worked at the Perry Knitting Mill, in the Pavilion Central School Cafeteria, and was co-owner of Logwell Acres in Covington with her husband. She was a member of the Covington Daylighters, the Warsaw Moose Lodge #560, and the Ladies of Charity. Mary Jane was also a lifelong member of the Mary Immaculate Parish of Pavilion. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Willard "Pete" Logsdon in 2010; a son, William Logsdon; 3 grandchildren, Mary Beth James, Joseph and Wayne Logsdon; 3 great grandchildren, Abby Logsdon, Juliette Bloom and Madeline Logsdon; a sister, Arlene Milligan Easton and a brother, Lewis Wellman Jr. Survivors include 7 sons; Gordon (Donna) Logsdon of Florida, Rev. Thomas (Sherrie) Logsdon of Michigan, daughter-in-law, Donna Logsdon of Florida, James (Sheila) Logsdon of Pavilion, Douglas (Joyce) Logsdon of Pavilion, Steven (Patsy) Logsdon of Texas, Arnold (Christine) Logsdon of Pavilion, and Daniel (Peg) Logsdon of Pavilion; 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Barbara Edwards and Pauline Stoffer; a sister-in-law, Betty Wellman; and many nieces and nephews. Friends of Mary Jane may call Wednesday November 9th, 2016 from 2pm to 8pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A mass of Christian burial will take place 10am Thursday November 10th 2016 at the Mary Immaculate Parish in Pavilion. Burial will follow in the Pavilion Cemetery.
