Mary Ann Durkee, age 69 of Merchant Road Warsaw, died Thursday, February 5th at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo. She was born in Buffalo January 13th 1946 and lived most of her life there before moving to Attica and later Warsaw in 1988. Mary Ann was a dedicated mother and homemaker who was known to be very caring and supportive. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting clothing for her family and friends. Many will fondly remember Mary Ann's cooking and especially her potato pancakes. She is survived by her husband Maryon Durkee of Warsaw, three daughters; Julie (Brian) Emke of Nunda, Jamie (Eric) Gould of Warsaw, Jeannie McQuillen of Nunda, three sons; Fritz (Jennifer) Amrhein of Nunda, Mike Amrhein of Warsaw, and Tommy Amrhein of Nunda, three step-daughters; Mary (Bret) Jones of Middleport, Wendy Davis of North Carolina, and Elizabeth (Todd) Wilber of West Valley, three step-sons; Charles (Sonia) Durkee of Elba, Michael Durkee of Warsaw, and Maryon Jr. (April) Durkee; a sister, Jeanie (Doug) Bartlebaugh of Alden, a brother; Bobby (Sharon) Thurnstrom of Nevada. Numerous grand children and several nieces and nephews also survive. A private family memorial will be scheduled at a later date. Burial will take place privately in the Hermitage Cemetery.
