Obituary

Rinehart, Martin A.

Silver Springs-

Martin A. Rinehart "Marty" age 54 of Main Street Silver Springs, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. Marty was born in Warsaw, June 2, 1970 a son of Gary R. and Mary Wolcott Rinehart of Silver Springs. He remained a lifetime resident of Silver Springs, so he could assist his family and friends. Marty graduated from Letchworth Central School in 1988 where he served as team captain for several of the sports teams and made many lasting friendships along the way. He worked during high school for his aunt and uncle, Dee (Kieth) Wolcott at the Glen Rock Restaurant and after graduation he attended Genesee Community College earning his AAS in Business. For many years he coached baseball for and was the president of the Babe Ruth League at Letchworth. He realized while working with his aunt and uncle that self employment was for him. After working for various local companies, he understood that his passion for gardening would turn into a lifelong business. He grew red potatoes and garlic which he sold to many people throughout the region. A faithful walker, Marty could always be seen walking with his faithful companion, Kimone "AKA, Knucklehead". Always a proponent of organic gardening and canning, he was always willing to lend a hand if another gardener needed help. He spent many years landscaping for his wonderful clients to include the Warsaw Garden Club which became like family to him. Marty attended the Silver Springs Methodist Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and made terrific venison jerky. Marty was blessed to be raised by such wonderful parents and surrounded by many longstanding friends and customers. Sometimes death is just a new beginning. Many blessings to all who have contributed to a blessed life.

Survivors include his step daughter, Kelsey Drury of Fairport, his very best friend, Shannon Cartwright and his daughters, Peyton and Parker of Warsaw, two brothers, Jeffrey and Jason both of Silver Springs as well as many close friends, nieces, nephews and neighbors.
