Marie L. Barrett, age 93, of Bloomfield Meadows, Bloomfield, died peacefully, Thursday, September 3rd at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. She was born in Warsaw, May 14th 1916 the daughter of the late Henry and Marie Deucher Roth. Marie moved to Bloomfield in 2004 but formerly resided in Gainesville. She worked for many years at the Warsaw Knitting Mill. She was a very strong and independent woman. Marie enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and the outdoors. She joined the Canandaigua ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but formerly belonged to the Warsaw chapter. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Francis Barrett in May of 1965, a brother; Samuel Roth, and two sisters; Suzette Nichols and Elizabeth Foster. Survivors include a daughter Frances (Gene) Hull of Honeoye, two grandchildren; Steven Hull of Hemlock, and Anne Hull of Bergen, two great grandchildren; Leslie and Sarah Hull of Livonia. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street is handling arrangements. Graveside services will be conducted at the Union Park Cemetery in Wethersfield on Tuesday, September 8th at 9am. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice in Marie's name.
