Mariana L. Briggs age 85, of State Road Colden, passed away peacefully, Saturday March 30, 2024 at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville. Mariana was born in Ocala, Florida, November 17, 1938 a daughter of the late Ocsar L. and Norma Rickards Briggs. She was a 1956 graduate of Pisgah High School in Canton North Carolina. She resided in Glenwood, NY and previously South Buffalo. Marian worked primarily as a Homemaker but also for a time for Venture Forth and Willcare as a Nurses Aid. A very artistic lady, Marian enjoyed painting and drawing. Many of her family and friends have various works of her art in they're own home. Mariana enjoyed spending time with dogs, especially her beloved Jack Russel "Sam". She was a terrific mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who's life she touched.

Mariana was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Leverentz, a son, William Westphal, a sister, Linda Bowers, and a brother, Bruce Briggs.

Survivors include her two daughters, Lori Hayden of Killbuck, NY, Edith Langreck of Springville, a son, Earl Westphal of Colden, a brother, Richard (Faith) Briggs of Riplemead, VA, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
