Obituary

Marian W. Langdon, age 87 of State Road, Wyoming, NY died Saturday, November 2, 2008 at the East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.

She was born March 10, 1921 in Covington Township, NY, the daughter of the late Cleon and Alice Van Allen Wilson. She was a lifelong resident of Wyoming and worked for 40 years as the school secretary in Wyoming Central School beginning in 1938. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wyoming her entire life, the Susan Look Avery Club, the Middlebury Historical Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Alvin W. Langdon, who died April 15, 2004.

Surviving are her sons Norwood (Erna) Langdon of Leesburg, VA, Rodney (Linda) Langdon of Valley Cottage, NY, and Wayne (Debbie) Langdon of Belvidere, IL; her daughter Jennifer (Holton) Langdon of Norwalk, CT; her brothers Charles (Alice) Wilson of Wyoming, and William (Pauline) Wilson of Batavia; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Chester (Vera) Wilson; Howard Wilson; and Robert (Evelyn) Wilson; and her sisters Dorothy Wilson and Lucille (Dean) Cooper.

Friends may call at the Weeks Funeral Home, 123 North Main St., Warsaw, NY from Thursday, November 6, 7-9 PM and Friday, November 7, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 10 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Wyoming with Pastor Doug Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Wyoming Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Wyoming or the Wyoming Hook & Ladder of Wyoming, NY.
