Margaret C. George, age 86, of West Court Street, Warsaw, passed away Thursday, November 17th, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Eagle, August 26th, 1925, the daughter of the late Lewis and Ellen Sullivan Allen. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, previously of Sheldon until 1985 then of Warsaw, Margaret was a 1943 graduate of Bliss High School. Margaret was a dedicated homemaker who was very strong in her faith. She was a member of St. Michael's Altar & Rosary Society and the Martha and Mary Ministry. Margaret also was a member of the Wyoming County Community Hospital Auxiliary, the Oatka Golden Agers, and former member of the Warsaw Monday Club and Garden Club. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Francis J. George who passed away in 2001; and a sister, Mary Cooper. Survivors include 2 daughters, Janet (Butch) Bauer of Warsaw and Karen (Scott) Benedict of Warsaw; 5 grandchildren, Jayson Bauer, Damien Frye, Matthew Bauer, Candase Ramos and Angel Bauer; 3 great grandchildren, Abigail, Aracelie and Dolce; 2 nieces, and her loving furry companion Gray Baby. Friends of Margaret may call on Sunday, November 20th, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street, Warsaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am, Monday, November 21st, at St. Michael's Church in Warsaw with Father James Hartwell as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Cecelia Cemetery in Sheldon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming County SPCA at 808 Creek Road, Attica, NY 14011.
