Margaret Cora Lacey Burns, age 95, of Wyoming Rd., Covington, passed away Saturday, December 21st, 2013 at her home. She was born in Pavilion, August 7th, 1918, daughter of the late Richard V. and Ethel Keating Lacey. A lifetime member of Wyoming County, Margaret worked as a housekeeper for the Harville family and for the Rochester Telephone Company. In her later years, Margaret was a devoted and loving homemaker and wife who helped with the family farm. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother who began each day reciting her rosary and enjoyed Irish music, bird watching, reading, crossword puzzles, and the company of her family. Margaret was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church in Pavilion. She was predeceased by her loving husband Alfred R. Burns in 1985; a brother, Robert P. Lacey; 2 brothers-in-law, William Fuller and Richard Waite; and 2 sisters, Mary Lacey and Edna Ewell. Survivors include 2 daughters, Patricia (Barry) Bodine of Wyoming and Margaret (Daniel) Logsdon of Pavilion; a sister, Mildred Fuller Waite; a sister-in-law, Betty Lacey; a brother-in-law, Clayton Ewell; 4 granddaughters, Bonnie, Elizabeth, Caitlin (Zach) Bodine and Margaret (Steve) Everett; 5 grandsons, Timothy and Brian Bodine, Robert (Amanda) Logsdon, Adam (Megan) Logsdon and Christopher Logsdon; 6 great grandchildren, Kelton Everett, Ariana, Abigail and Iris Bodine, Greysen and Maxon Logsdon; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends of Margaret may call Thursday, December 26th, 2013 from 3pm to 7pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw where a vigil service will be held. The Rosary will be said at 3:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held 10am, Friday, December 27th, 2013 at St. Mary's Church in Pavilion with Father Richard Cilano as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pavilion.
