Marcia J. Michels, age 63 of Old Orchard Beach, Castile, passed away, Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Marcia was born in Dansville, September 22, 1962, a daughter of the late Rollin Sr. and Mary Ann Minier Boyd. A 1981 graduate of Fillmore High School, Marcia went on to earn a degree in Animal Psychology. She put her degree to work and fulfilled her passion as a Night Herdsman for Gardeau Crest Farm in Perry. Marcia was previously a member of the Gainesville Methodist Church and currently a member of the United Methodist Church in Dalton, and the Hornell Moose Lodge #210. She was a very kind hearted woman who enjoyed bird watching, photography, spending time in her yard and we must not forget her love of coffee. She was defined by her strength and independence. To know her was to love her...sometimes. Her favorite saying, "I am wonderful!"

Marcia is preceded in death by her husband, James Michels and her sisters, Roxanne Boyd and Margaritte VanSickle.

Survivors include her brothers, Rollin (Sue) Boyd Jr. and Mathew Boyd both of Fillmore, step daughters, Barb (EJ) Oyer of Hornell, Tami (Jesse) Taylor of Marietta, GA, a step son, Joe (Michele) Michels of Washington State, a devoted and loving niece, Stacy VanSickle of Nunda, as well as 15 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, several additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held in Marcia's honor at 11am, Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569 with Pastor Gary Wickard of the Dalton United Methodist Church.
