Obituary

Malcolm Joseph Napier, age 84, of Salina Street, Warsaw, died Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Malcolm was born in Victor, NY, June 2nd, 1925, the son of the late Joseph and Marion Loveland Bedard. A resident of Wyoming County since 1981 and formerly of Chili, NY, Malcolm worked as a trucker for All Refuse in Rochester as well as performing odd jobs for Walmart, Genesee Country Museum and Darien Lake after retirement. He also served during World War II as a Military Police Officer with the United States Army. An Avid Bowler, Malcolm enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Winifred May Napier on January 20th, 2004. Survivors include five daughters; Marion (Thomas) Free of Orlando, FL, Debra (Louis) Fico of Newman, CA, Molly (Robert) Beardsley of Warsaw, Sue Napier of Pavilion, and Beverly Napier of Warsaw; one son, Mark (Virginia) Napier of Leicester; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Malcolm J. Napier may call on Saturday, March 6th, 2010 from 10am to 12pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12pm, Saturday, March 6th, 2010 with the Walter Klein post #532 American Legion Chaplain Francis Head as celebrant. Burial will be conducted privately in Mt. Ash Cemetery, Covington, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming County Joint Veterans Council 26 Linwood Ave. Warsaw, NY 14569 in Malcolm's name.
