Lysle James Richardson passed away on April 26, 2025 in High Point, North Carolina at the age of 81.

Born in Honeoye Falls, New York, Jim spent his formative years on a farm in Wyoming, New York, a place that instilled in him a deep appreciation for hard work. His life's path took him to Florida, New York again and Pennsylvania, before he ultimately made his home in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In Raleigh, Jim discovered a passion for woodworking. He dedicated himself to the craft, creating beautiful and lasting pieces that reflected his talent. Beyond his craft, Jim had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He found immense pleasure in the melodies of music, with a particular fondness for the artistry of Mark Knopfler. His heart also held a special place for the beautiful landscapes and lighthouses of Maine, where he enjoyed many cherished vacations visiting his daughter.

Jim's greatest joy, however, was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Robyn Richardson and Jamie Casey, who will forever cherish the memories of their father's love and guidance. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nichaela Casey and Evan Casey, and four siblings: sisters Marlene Barone and Marion Strathearn, and brothers Phil Richardson and Frank Richardson. He is predeceased by his brother Doug Richardson and his parents Rita and Oliver Richardson. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends.
